The last three years, with two World runner-up finishes under her belt (2008 and 2009). Lima has built a name for herself as one of the most progressive surfers on the Top 17 and constantly pushes the limits with impressive aerials and power gouges whilst in a singlet and her prior training in the Brazilian martial arts of Capoeira proved to be the perfect foundation for the nimble South American to launch her pro surfing assault.
In addition to her above-the-lip antics, Lima is also the only Brazilian to have won the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach when she took out the win in 2009 before winning the Commonwealth Bank Beachley Classic to challenge Gilmore for the World Title. With a well-rounded training regimen that ranges from surfing to swimming to weight training, look for the fierce competitor to combine her fitness and experience as a lethal combination in 2011.
